The novel Master’s programme in Chemical Engineering at the University of Valladolid succesfully started 2014/15 and it will keep you in contact with the latest advances in Chemical Engineering worldwide. The core curriculum has been designed in view of the most important features required by a ChemE.
The former Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Valladolid was the first university program in Spain accredited by IChemE (Institution of Chemical Engineers) already in 2000. We are eager and working to accredit this master’s program similarly.
The master program is based on the former ChemE 5-year degree but including advance specialties to prepare students with a number of technical and social skills to solve today’s societal problems. The expertise of the academic staff is at this service. The course is based in 3 semesters, the first and second semester with the main core courses and the last one with elective subjects and the preparation of a master thesis project.
During the course the students will have the opportunity to learn and work with cut-egde techniques for simulation and design, e.g. Aspen Plus ONE, HYSYS, EcoSim Pro, MATLAB and Excel/VBA.
Most of the courses are in English and several in Spanish, in any case all our staff can help you in both languages to keep you updated.
Here is an example of available RESEARCH PROJECT TOPICS. Our academic staff is highly involved in research.
